Daxxify®
Smooth your crow’s feet, forehead creases, and frown lines for an entire year with as few as two treatments.
Do you love the results of Botox® or Dysport® but wish the results lasted longer?
Daxxify® is the only long-lasting frown line treatment powered by a peptide that lasts six to nine months. Instead of visiting our office four times a year, now you can maintain your results with twice-yearly appointments.
Save time, look your best.
A longer-lasting injectable
What is Daxxify®?
Like Botox and Dysport, the active ingredient in Daxxify® is botulinum toxin. However, Daxxify® uses a novel peptide as stabilizer.
How is Daxxify® different from other injectable treatments?
All injectable frown line treatments use a special ingredient to stabilize botulinum toxin A, the protein that helps smooth lines and wrinkles. Botox uses human serum albumin (HSA), a blood product, and Dysport uses HSA and cow’s milk protein as a protectant.
Daxxify® is the only formulation that uses a novel peptide as a stabilizer and does not contain human or animal byproducts.
Is Daxxify® well-studied?
Daxxify® is safe. It was part of the largest-ever clinical study for frown line treatment and included more than 2,800 people across different ages and skin types. In this study there were no serious treatment side effects and 96% of the people treated with Daxxify® were satisfied with their results.
The active ingredient in Daxxify® is the same that’s been used in frown line and wrinkle treatments for more than 20 years.
Why Choose Daxxify®
- Fewer treatments, same results
- Long-lasting Botox alternative
- Rapid results, quick recovery
- FDA-approved
What to Expect During Treatment
The procedure is the same as you might have experienced with other frown line injectables. First, you’ll start with a consultation. La Jolla plastic surgeon Dr. Gallus or a medical injector will ask you about your goals, as well as any allergies or medications. The Daxxify® treatment only takes about 20 minutes. Dr. Gallus uses a small needle to inject Daxxify®, and then you can go about your day, returning to work or home.
Will the injections hurt?
Pain from the injection is minimal. Aside from an occasional small amount of bruising, you can expect to immediately return to daily activities or work.
Rest assured that most patients report the discomfort from neurotoxin injections like Botox and Daxxify as being very minimal. Your comfort is our top priority at Restore SD Plastic Surgery, so we provide your treatment in a calming environment and provide you with a cooling pack for the treatment areas before and after the injections to minimize any pain or bruising. We also offer Pro-Nox, a patient-controlled pain management system that allows you to administer your own pain relief during your treatment. Learn more about Pro-Nox here»
Recovery Time
Daxxify® requires minimal downtime. You can return to your daily activities right away, just avoid strenuous exercise or lying down for four hours after treatment. The injection site sometimes swells and turns red, but these are minor side effects that typically go away after a few hours.

- Recovery Time: The minimal downtime required after receiving Daxxify injections, allowing patients to return to daily activities almost immediately.
- Static Wrinkles: Wrinkles visible even when the face is at rest, typically treated with fillers or other skin resurfacing methods rather than neuromodulators like Daxxify.
- Units: The measurement of Daxxify dosage, which varies based on the treatment area, patient goals, and individual muscle strength.
When will I see the results?
You may start to see smoother skin as soon as the day after treatment, and typically within two days. Daxxify® lasts on average six months and up to nine months for some.
